The fertilized eggs of a frog are called spawn. The blobs inside the
eggs are called embryos and are protected in a bag of
jelly.
The eggs hatch in water after a week into tadpoles, they swim around
and breath through gills and will grow very quickly.
After
7 weeks the tadpole grows hind legs and then front legs and will soon
breath through lungs rather than gills.
The frogs tail shortens, the legs continue to grow and at 14 weeks the
frog is then an adult and can leave the water.
