Tragedy Strikes

During the summer of 1973 tragedy struck. That summer Sybil took a group of youngsters, including her own children, away on holiday. One afternoon as they were driving through Kent on their way back from the beach, Sybil suddenly swerved to avoid a motorcyclist who was coming towards her on the wrong side of the road. Her car left the road and hit a telegraph pole. Sybil's daughter, Marsha, who was with her mother in the car, was killed in the crash. Sybil, herself, was badly hurt and today she still has difficulty walking because of her injuries.
